The surf is coming to the desert! The now closed Wet'n'Wild is being transformed into a waterpark with a wave pool designed by surfers for surfers.
Cryptically announced on Instagram in January, surfers and wave pool architect Cheyne Magnusson (@redtide83) and Kalani Robb (@kalanirobb) are fast making the wave pool a reality.
Pono Partners, LLC in Southern California purchased the site from Wet N Wild. In addition to the state-of-the-art wave pool for serious surfing, Pono Partners want to make it a fun experience for families with water slides, a lazy river, restaurant, bar, spa, and stage area.
